Welcome to my blog!

Hello and thank you so much for visiting my site! I thought I’d use this section to tell you a little about me. I am somewhat introverted which, as you can imagine, was a bit of a challenge when I decided to start my photography business. I enjoy meeting new people though and find I especially get along with those that live for their passions in life. For some it’s writing socially forward poetry in a tiny coffee shops, others it’s educating people in third world countries on deaf children’s rights, giving up all animal products, being a stay at home mom, allowing gay couples legal rights, or fighting a daily battle on capitol hill for improving environmental standards. I find the same passion in myself for photography. You can ask any of my friends, I won’t stop talking about it if you get me started! I love having the camera in my hand and capturing that great moment (to me, clients having a strong emotional response to a photograph is the best compliment). My background is in graphic design, so I would definitely never consider myself a purist when it comes to the art of photography. I enjoy post processing just as much as taking the photos. In my opinion, custom processing and professional printing can make a photo take leaps and bounds over most commercial photography studios’ “work”. I live in Seaside with my wonderful husband, who serves our country in the military, my lovely step daughter and our two… “energetic” sons. Originally I am from Roanoke, Virginia.
